Applicants must be actively DCJS certified and have their CPR/AED/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain these credentials within the first month of employment; ESS Inc offcers these courses in-house.

The duties of a Personal Protection Specialist is to protect clients – which may include celebrities, wealthy businesspeople, politicians, influential speakers or political figures – from harassment, threats of violence, kidnap, murder or theft. Assignments may be temporary, as for a certain event, or the Personal Protection Specialist may offer around-the-clock protection, which could include driving clients from place to place.
